Responder Safety Learning Network
Responder Safety is a content managed web site content managed web site (www.respondersafety.com), that was created to serve first responders nationwide with information to keep them safe while on our highways. It is the only entity that tracks and reports “struck by” incidents to Police, Fire Services, DOT, EMS and towing and recovery personnel on a daily basis. The site was founded by the Cumberland Valley Volunteer Fireman’s Association. The site provides online resources to more than 8,000 registered users including, digital training tools, photos, videos and articles on safety. The goal is to reduce deaths and injuries to America’s Emergency Responders from the fire services, police departments, emergency medical units, transportation and tow operators.
Now, with popularity growing and funding from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Department of Transportation and the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), the online learning network has expanded. With a potential audience of over 9 million first responders, the unique visitors to this site are expected to top 20,000 a month as new training modules are released.
One of our other networks built on the same platform is focused on fire investigation at www.cfitrainer.net. That site brings more than 10,000 unique visitors per month and has over 110,000 registered users. Millions of hours of training have been delivered during its 24/7 operation over the years.
